President of the National Assembly visits Brussels.

H.E. President of the National Assembly (AN) Carolina Cerqueira, visited Brussels to take part from 7 to 8 June in the Women Political Leaders Forum (WPL), an organisation that aims to contribute to increasing the number and influence of women in political leadership positions.

H.E. President of the National Assembly (AN) Carolina Cerqueira, visited Brussels to take part in the Women Political Leaders Forum from 7 to 8 June.

The Forum, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary, is a space for women leaders from all over the world to share their experiences. 

The Forum analyses the current advances and challenges in terms of women's empowerment, equity and opportunities at a global level and will feature speakers from various parts of the world, as well as panel discussions to demonstrate the growing impact of women on global political leadership.

Prior to the Forum and on the Embassy's initiative, the President of the National Assembly (AN) has a schedule of various courtesy meetings scheduled for 6 June, including working and courtesy meetings with Mr Marc Angel, Vice-President of the European Parliament, and also with Mr Carlos Zurrinho, Co-President of the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly.

The President of the National Assembly will hold a courtesy meeting with the Secretary General of the OEACP, with whom he will certainly discuss issues related to the 63rd parliamentary session of the OEACP and the 43rd session of the Joint Parliamentary Assembly, ACP_UE.

The Angolan delegation also includes the AN's Second Vice President, MP Arleth Chimbinda, MP Antonieta Baptista and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary accredited to the Kingdom of Belgium.
