Portuguese Prime Minister Finalises Visit

At the end of this afternoon, the Prime Minister of the Portuguese Republic, Luís Montenegro, was at the Cidade Alta Palace for his farewell greetings, concluding his three-day official visit to Angola.

Farewell greetings at the Presidential Palace

Luís Montenegro and the accompanying delegation were greeted by the President of the Republic of Angola, João Lourenço, and other Angolan government officials. Military honours were also paid to the Head of the Portuguese Government. The Portuguese Prime Minister's visit to Angola culminated in the signing of twelve co-operation agreements in different areas. Another highlight was Luís Montenegro's announcement that the Portugal-Angola credit line would be increased by another 500 million euros, from the current 2 billion to 2.5 billion euros.
